Find a pick-your-own farm near you for a day in the sun and a rewarding bucket of fruit to take home. It’s a great way to THINK more about where our food originates. Pickyourown.org is an excellent source for PYO farms throughout the States and across the world. For us Georgians, spring has come early so the strawberries are ready. I hear great things about Southern Belle Farm– and it’s just $10 for a gallon of strawberries! (Bring something to take your berries home in so they can reuse the buckets.)
What do you do with that many strawberries? Share with friends. Make a strawberry popsicle. Add them to your yogurt. Can strawberry rhubarb butter. The possibilities are endless…
